Kejadian tuhan yang hakiki..ada lelaki dan perempuan dan ada diantaranya...artikel ni aku rasa cam menarik so ak share ngan korang suma...aku pun tak ingat mana ak cilok benda ni,tapi yang penting contain dia ek..let us read together....

A gender role is defined as a set of perceived behavioral norms associated particularly with males or females in a given social group or system. It can be a form of division of labor by gender. It is a focus of analysis in the social science and humanities. Gender refers to individual’s “psychological type”, it acquired through experience. An individual can be viewed as either masculine or feminine. Gender role refers to the attitudes and behaviors that class a person’s stereotypical identity for example women cook and clean, men fix car. Researches recognize that the concrete behavior of individuals is a consequence of both socially enforced rules and values, and individual disposition, whether genetic, unconscious or conscious. Some researchers emphasize the objective social system and others emphasize the objective social system and others subjective orientations and dispositions.

The process through which individual learns and accepts roles is called socialization works by encouraging wanted and discouraging uncounted behavior. These sanctions by agencies of socialization such as the family, school, and the media make it clear to the child what is expected of the child by society. In the majority of traditional and developmental social systems, an individual has a choice as to what he or she should or should not conform to as a representative of the socialization process. Through this process an individual willingly accepts the consequences whether they be beneficial or negative, minor or severs depending on the way an individual copes typically encouragements and expectations of gender roles behavior are not as powerful a traditional refinements are still a socialization process to and within family values, peer pressures, at the employment centers and gender differences as expected socialized behavioral norm, his or her behavior traits become part of his or her perceived responsibilities.

When we look from other view of gender roles in traditional roles like education, gender – specific education especially high professional qualification is only for the men. Profession part like the work place is not the primary area for women because career and professional advancement is deemed unimportant for women in traditional society. Woman only think that housework is the most important for example housekeeping and child care are the primary functions of the woman while participation of the man in these functions is only partially wanted. When discussing about decision making man has power or last say when have a case for example in choosing the right place to live, choice of school for children, buying decisions and others. Talking about child care and education woman takes take care of the largest part of these functions for example she educates children and cares for them in every way.

For approximately the last 100 years women have been fighting for the right as men and were able to make change to the traditionally accepted feminine gender role. However, most feminists today say there is still work to be done. Women earn a smaller percentage of aggregate income than men, occupy lower ranking job positions than men and do most of the housekeeping work. However, there may be same reason for this, as some studies have indicated that many jobs which were traditionally perceived to be make-dominated usually have longer hours, necessitate long periods of exposure to the elements, are higher risk and require a fair amount of physical strength. When feminism become a conspicuous protest movement in the 60’s, critics often argued that woman who wanted to follow a traditional role would be discriminated against in the future and force to join the workforce. Many women, especially single parents are denied this choice due to economic necessity. In theory, feminism is the belief that a woman should have the right to make her own decisions. However, in contemporary society those who choose to adhere to traditional female gender roles are discriminated against and are considered not living up to female role. Furthermore, woman who choose to pursue carriers and higher education are also similarly stigmatized

The conclusion is traditional roles of men and women in society in terms of occupation and family has be changing this is because of the time and technology was developed. Today, women are giving more opportunities to success in their live same just like man. The developing of technology also opens their mind to accept everything which is changing in their live. While, developing of times make people more matured to open their mind to take any challenges in their live. Women have fighting for along time for power and control in this man’s world to be more success person than a man.
